Engineering Consultants, P.A. is a Consulting Engineering firm that was founded in 1962 by Max E. Coleman, P.E. and was incorporated in our current configuration in 1976. Duane R. Phillips, P.E. purchased the firm in 1983 and was the firm President and Owner through 2007. In October of 2006, Brent L. Engelland, P.E. joined Engineering Consultants, P.A. as an engineer and subsequently purchased the firm from Mr. Phillips in 2008. Mr. Engelland received his Bachelor of Science Degree from The University of Kansas and is actively registered as a Professional Engineer in ten states.

We have extensive experience in structural design with wood, steel, masonry, and concrete on building projects ranging from small local agricultural and residential properties up to multi-story commercial laboratories and offices located in high seismic areas. Although we specialize in Structural Engineering, we also do Architectural Engineering on small-to-medium sized projects, and drainage, street and utility improvements on residential sub-divisions and small commercial developments. Other in-house specialties include: pre-cast concrete shop detailing, equipment layouts, footing design for pre-engineered buildings, timber frame design, and the necessary drafting involved in many types of projects. Engineering Consultants has experience in commercial, industrial, educational, institutional, and governmental projects.

Currently we have engineers licensed in the states of Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Colorado, Nebraska, Arkansas, Texas, New Mexico, Wisconsin, and Tennessee. As project needs arise, we are also able to be licensed across the United States to meet your project goals and to serve as your engineer over a wide geographical area.
